I am extremely delighted and honored to have been appointed co-president of Illustration Québec (IQ). It is with great pleasure that I join Pauline Stive in this position.
I would first like to thank Élodie Duhameau for her incredible work as president. I also thank her for her attentiveness, empathy and generosity. Her many advices has been invaluable in my personal journey as an illustrator.
Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been a member of the board of directors of Illustration Québec since 2022. I mainly handle social media and member interviews.
I studied graphic design and worked in ad agencies for over 15 years. 4 years ago, I decided to become an illustrator full-time. Like most of us, I work in several sectors of illustration: editorial, advertising, children's publishing and graphic novels. I also have a very scientific side and am currently pursuing a master's degree in UX design at École Polytechnique. I love doing research and a good analysis before making any big decisions.
For this presidency, I have a great desire for community. Illustration Québec has allowed me to meet an exceptional community of people who share my passion for illustration. Through this position, I want to promote your work and your rights without making any distinction between our sectors of activity, the language we speak or the city in which we live. All of our work deserves to be recognised at its true value.
