Accessing professional membership - A jury appointed by the Board of Directors must evaluate the aspirant's overall professionalism. A PDF file containing 10 different published pieces must be submitted (self-promotion pieces are not eligible). It is important to identify each piece.

For example: "Illustration for L'actualité magazine - September 2010 edition."

The following criteria guide the jury in assessing any application for professional membership:

  • Demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the field of illustration.
  • Provide a minimum of ten (10) different published (and/or broadcasted) pieces. Promotional pieces are not accepted.
  • To have reached a professional level of technical quality.
  • To be recognized in the field of illustration, meaning: having participated in publications and/or advertising campaigns or noteworthy publications and/or be recognized by peers as a professional in sense of Article S-32.01 of the law.

All members have access to the services and activities offered by Illustration Québec. They can also get involved in any committee including the Board of Directors.
