Potnia Theron

A tribute to the magic of the sacred feminine, Potnia Théron celebrates the creative power of feminine sexuality. Too often treated under the eroticizing and objectifying eye of Men, I wanted to create a work that reappropriated women's bodies; imagined by a woman, for women, and celebrating the strength, creativity and power of women. I also took pleasure in slipping in several symbols representing various aspects of the feminine.

Description

The mission of the revue PLANCHES is to promote Québec comics and the work of their authors. Each issue features a collection of short original stories, cartoon columns and in-depth articles. There's also an illustrated double-page spread entitled l'Illustre pause. I had the honor to be featured in the issue #16.
