Description

My first graphic novel, at l'Oeil d'or editions. Three stories: I Live on Love and Fresh Water; Nobody’s Muse; My Bed Is Not Your Home — to explore the ties between memory, identity, and embodiment. Or, more concretely: why move 5,000 km away from home? How do you make a living from your art? Is posing nude an age-old profession or a form of mystical yoga? How do you explain that the love of your life is a cat with a single vampire fang? And how do you tell others that making love is neither necessarily a form of love, nor a requirement for love?

At the crossroads of essay and fiction, Aurore Juin’s graphic novels weave the personal into the universal, with poetry.
