Description

This illustration was created for the municipality of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and will be used as part of the citizen participation activities for the update of its conservation plan. To do so, the artist was asked to represent the different significant ecosystems of its territory. This illustration represents biodiversity, connectivity and natural environments.

With her knowledge in environment, the artist was able to accompany his client in the choice of the significant species for the general public.

The illustration was done by hand using alcohol and pigment inks and acrylic on bristol paper. The artist's style, inspired by botanical plates and identification drawings, is perfectly adapted to this type of project. Indeed, the presence of many details and the work on a white background leave all the space to the subject, in this case, the ecosystems to protect.
